During this workshop, the students were introduced to Robotic Process Automation(RPA<\/a>) and UiPath Studio. More than 70% of the students had never heard of UiPath. The workshop was therefore a great success. Not only because it was the 1st introduction to RPA for many students, but also because this workshop gave insight into career opportunities as an RPA Developer<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=”2097″ animation=”Fade In” hover_animation=”none” alignment=”” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” image_loading=”default” max_width=”100%” max_width_mobile=”default”][vc_column_text]\n

What does an RPA Developer do?<\/h2>\n

First, the students were given more information about the role of an RPA Developer<\/a>. Like the fact that you have one leg in business and the other in IT. That it is low-code, but more than just low-code. And not unimportant: the future prospects and career possibilities. <\/p>\n

The students then received an introduction to the company UiPath<\/a> and the UiPath platform. Followed by an introduction to Tacstone and the opportunities within our company. <\/p>\n

“Get your hands dirty”<\/h2>\n

At Tacstone, we believe that a person learns best by doing, or, “Get your hands dirty. This allowed the students to experience for themselves what it’s like to build their own software robot<\/a> and to get in touch with the approachability of the UiPath software. The goal was to build a software robot that takes an Excel file with products as input, looks up the price of these products on the Albert Heijn website and sends it by e-mail. A valuable experience<\/span><\/h2>\n

In addition to the social drinks, the workshop was also perceived by students as a great success. At the beginning of the day more than 70% of the students did not know of the existence of UiPath<\/a>. About 2.5 hours later they all learned about it and worked with it. Afterwards, the reactions of this next generation were purely positive. The students were particularly impressed by the approachability and user-friendliness of the UiPath Platform software.
