Tacstone officially hosts UiPath DEV Meet-up in the Netherlands

“If the UiPath RPA Developer Meet-ups continue to grow at this rate, you will soon have to hire Theater Carré!”. This comment was made by one of the nearly 60 participants in the second edition of the UiPath DEV Meet-ups at Loetje aan het IJ anno February 2020.

^2nd edition UiPath DEV meet-up: big success!

And indeed, it was busy, fun and inspiring. The number of registrations had doubled compared to the first meet-up. And, not unimportantly, everyone actually came, so no annoying no-shows. Participants included TomTom, KPN, NS, Holland Casino, Hoppenbrouwers, Sensire, ASML, Robeco and IDEXX. The format chosen for the UiPath Developer Meet-ups appeals to the target group. There is also an obvious need to be able to build a community with RPA Developers. Just like last time, the cooperation between UiPath as sponsor and Tacstone as host went smoothly. The organization was very happy with the speakers Cathy Masterson from TomTom and Dion Mes from UiPath.

TomTom’s RPA journey: ‘Think big, start small’

Cathy Masterson showed how TomTom’s RPA journey has progressed since its inception in 2017. Think Big, Start Small. Take initiative. Claim ownership. Show persistence. Keep explaining endlessly (evangelizing) and don’t run away from challenges in technology and ICT infrastructure. These turned out to be key ingredients for a successful application of RPA. The freedom Cathy gave the RPA team in an innovation- and technology-driven organization like TomTom certainly helped.

New products from UiPath Hyperautomation platform

For his part, Dion Mes, technical pre-sales consultant at UiPath, showed three new developments in the UiPath platform. He talked about UiPath Insights: how do you measure the impact of RPA in your organization? How do you make savings visible? And about AI Center: how do you make robots smarter with machine learning? With your own machine learning models in Python or with (free) available models. And finally, UiPath Action Center, aka Human in the Loop: how do you get employees to collaborate more effectively with their software robots?
